Two-Factor Authentication

In response to the recent increase in security threats and hacking attempts around the world, Bon Secours Health System is implementing a two-factor authentication process to help secure remote access to its information system resources. This two-factor authentication process will go into effect through the spring and summer of 2015.

"Two-factor authentication" is an extra layer of security that requires not only a user name and password, but also a dynamic (changing) 6-digit code. Using a user name and password together with a dynamic 6-digit code makes it harder for potential hackers to gain unauthorized access. Each time you access IS resources while on VPN or off the BSHSI network, you will need a 6-digit code.

If you access any of the following resources remotely, you will be prompted for a dynamic 6-digit code in addition to being prompted for your username and password.
